Subject Line: How Your Muscles Keep You Young 🏋️

Hi Reader,

Let me take you back to a patient of mine who had returned from a ski trip.

She was in great shape, but she said something that stuck with me: “I didn’t fall once—and I think it’s because of those slow squats you had me doing.”

That, right there, is the power of eccentric strength—the ability of your muscles to control movement as they lengthen.

Think about walking down stairs, lowering into a squat, or sinking slowly into a chair.

Eccentric movement is what gives you control and stability, especially as you age.

It prevents falls.

It protects your joints.

And yes, it even helps you recover faster from everyday activities.

đź’ˇ Try slowing down the "lowering" phase of your workouts.

Tempo squats and slow push-ups are a great start.

This month, our focus is on the strength that keeps you grounded, agile, and injury-free.

Let’s talk about building strength that lasts. 🏋️

In your corner,

Hi Reader, Not long ago, a patient told me, “I’m eating well, I'm sleeping, I’m working out… but I still feel fuzzy and off.” We looked deeper and found a common habit that was sabotaging her efforts. She was constantly multitasking, glued to her phone, hadn’t had a deep conversation or reflected on her life in weeks, and was running on autopilot. The problem wasn’t just physical. It was Emotional. Mental. Social. Spiritual. Her brain was overloaded—and undernourished in a different way. We...
